  Daily Timetable

Homework

The homework books are given out on Thursdays and need the completed and returned the following Tuesday.

 Homework - set 25/6

Spellings

Please note - We know this homework was given out late. The children will have an extra few days to complete.

There is a section for you to sign to show us that you have seen your child's homework .

It is very important that you complete this section.

Century

There has been a nugget set on Century.

Information about Century and the tasks. Please Read.

Reading

Please ensure you are reading with your child as often as possible. All children have a reading log and they should be filling it in regularly. When reading with your child; you can ask them to predict what might happen next, what their favourite part was, what they might change, what the story is about. This will really help their understanding.

Your child will have guided reading sessions in class and some pupils will continue to bring home phonics books for a time.

As pupils in Year 3 will be reading longer books, they may not need to change their books so frequently.

PE

Our indoor PE is on a Monday.

Our outdoor PE is on a Thursday.

As it is getting colder, your child may wish to wear joggers outdoors.

Generally speaking, if your child is well enough to be in school then we would expect them to participate in all PE.

Please let us know though, if there is a particular reason that your child can not participate in the PE lesson.

Potential lockdown actions

In the event of having to go into lockdown or isolation, there is general work for English, Maths, Science and some Topic work on the school website; activities can be adapted for all children.

You may also wish to look at Oak National Academy for learning opportunities

https://classroom.thenational.academy/

In the event that:

Your child is absent (isolating): spelling lists and weekly homework activities/tasks can be found here. In year 3, your child will also be given a Century login for them to access the platform.

Should the class go into lockdown: learning will be communicated via the school website. Your child will be expected to be online for a whole class daily zoom and an additional group of 6 zoom, once a week.

How can work be accessed if computer technology is not available?

Please let the office know as soon as possible. Work can be printed on a Wednesday for collection from school.
